Optobot is an interactive LED installation. Pedestrian movements trigger colour  waves that propagate across both panels. The LEDs illuminate a printed cubic tessellation - causing additive colour mixing to vary the apparent cool/warm colour-perspective of the motif. Front panels in machine turned stainless steel are perforated in a pattern that creates interference patterns and points of optical focus. Installed at Automotive TAFE, Kwinana in 2008.
